Member Benefits
The Barstow Area Chamber of Commerce strives in its work to improve the economic and quality of life in the Barstow area. The Chamber also offers a broad spectrum of benefits and services to its members that are free or at a reduced rate. Your membership means that you can take advantage of:

Networking Opportunities
Our members make valuable business contacts through committee participation, membership breakfasts, ribbon cuttings, and other Chamber events. See the calendar of events for details of upcoming opportunities.

Advertising that Works
Promote your business to the community through our Community Map and Membership Business Directory, which is updated approximately every 2 years. Members can purchase advertisement space on the map and in the membership business directory. In addition, members receive (free of charge) alphabetical and classified listings in the directory. Members can purchase mailing lists or receive a membership list and display brochures and material in the Chamber lobby free of charge. New members can have a ribbon cutting ceremony and see the photo in the Desert Dispatch (space permitting at the discretion of the newspaper).

Referrals
During the year, the Chamber receives thousands of requests for business, relocation or demographic information from people interested in the Barstow area. The following documents and packets are utilized to refer Chamber members: Relocation Packet, Demographic Packet, Tourist Packet, Motel/Hotel Brochure, Restaurant Guide, Area Attractions Listing. Members are encouraged to provide the Chamber with brochures that can be included with this information. We always refer Chamber members first!

Business Improvement Seminars
From time to time, the Chamber offers members a variety of relatively low rates for condensed, high-impact seminars.

Current Business News
Concise information about current Chamber activities and how your investment is being used to help your business is contained in the City of Barstow quarterly newsletter, Crossroads. Through the Chamber Connection (our monthly newsletter) you will receive updates on issues of concern to your business the community. Member articles and submissions are accepted and appreciated (but are subject to editing by Chamber Staff).

Assistance in Solving Business Problems
The Chamber’s “Red Team” provides counseling and information on how to solve problems in marketing, distribution, operations, accounting, and many other areas of your business. Counseling is provided by qualified people at no cost to the member. Additional business assistance is available through the High Desert Small Business Development Center. The Chamber is also a resource for Business Tune-Up Kits filled with great information to help your business stay ahead.
